Sean and Madison - Engagement Photos - Biltmore Estate - Asheville, NC

The wonderful thing about Asheville is we have no shortage of beautiful backdrops for special occasions, even when winter just starts! A friend of mine referred me to Sean for a surprise engagement photoshoot which I was super stoked to help this couple out on, especially since they were taking a trip all the way from Tennessee for this photoshoot!

The soon to be engaged Sean wanted to set it up at the Biltmore House so we planned the date, hoped for good weather and the rest was “easy” (as easy as proposing to the love of your life can be!). Luckily, mother nature was on our side and we had a beautiful day to shoot.  As we arrived we walked the grounds and then prepared for the moment we all waited for. Sean bent down on one knee and popped the question and Madison answered with a resounding “Yes!”. From there it was business as usual as I posed the newly engaged couple on this really cute and shaded path on the grounds of the Biltmore House. We got some wonderful pictures of Sean and Madison looking lovingly in each other’s eyes as well as the beautiful ring Sean got for his bride to be.

Now recently, I have been experimenting with black and white photography, and for me it fits the vibe for some of the shots, especially the isolated shots of the ring. While color photography is my bread and butter, I’m glad that the black and white photos came out amazing as well.

I have to thank Sean and Madison for taking the trip from Tennessee to Asheville for these photos. I am so blessed to have been there for the first step to the biggest moment of their lives. Check out the photos below!
